Writer Park Hae-young, who caused a 'worship' and 'liberation' syndrome, is now throwing the topic of 'worthlessness'. JTBC's new drama has confirmed a glamorous lineup including Koo Kyohwan and Go Younjung and will visit the home theater in the first half of 2026.
◆ The Meeting of 'Life Work Maker' Writer Park Hae-young X Director Cha Young-hoon The production team of JTBC's new drama 'Everyone is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness' (hereinafter 'Mujamusa') announced on the 20th that they have confirmed the casting of actors Koo Kyohwan, Go Younjung, Oh Jungse, Kang Malgeum, and Park Haejoon. This work has garnered intense interest from the planning stage as it is a collaboration between writer Park Hae-young, who wrote 'My Mister' and 'My Liberation Notes', and director Cha Young-hoon from 'When the Camellia Blooms'. It insightfully depicts the inner struggles of a person suffering from jealousy and anxiety, who feels left out among accomplished friends, and aims to turn on the 'green light' of peace for those standing in front of the red light of worthlessness.
◆ Koo Kyohwan's First TV Lead & Go Younjung's Acting Transformation The irreplaceable charm of Koo Kyohwan will take the lead in his first TV drama through this work. He plays 'Hwang Dong-man', a prospective director who is the only one in the film industry's secret organization 'The Eight' who has not debuted, and he is a character who pretends to be confident to hide his worthlessness. Go Younjung plays the cold-hearted film company PD 'Byeon Eun-ah'. Although she appears perfect on the outside, Eun-ah, who bleeds from her nose when emotionally overloaded, becomes entangled with Dong-man, who is just drifting, completing a narrative of healing each other's wounds and growing together.
◆ Oh Jungse, Kang Malgeum, Park Haejoon... Trustworthy 'Acting Avengers' The supporting cast is also impressive. Oh Jungse plays 'Park Kyung-se', a successful director who feels intense inferiority towards Dong-man, showcasing a delightful love-hate dynamic with Koo Kyohwan. Kang Malgeum plays 'Ko Hye-jin', the wife of Kyung-se and a leading producer in 'The Eight', maintaining the center, while Park Haejoon plays Dong-man's brother, a former poet who has severed ties with the secular world, 'Hwang Jin-man', delivering a heavy resonance.
The production team expressed, "Through the process of embracing each other's deficiencies and breathing life into them, we will convey profound empathy and warm comfort." 'Mujamusa' will be broadcast on JTBC in the first half of 2026.
