The movie 'The Housemaid' is continuing its box office success worldwide, achieving remarkable results beyond North America.
〈The Housemaid〉 is the latest work by director Paul Feig, who showcased his sensuous direction in 〈Just One Favor〉. The thriller tells the story of a suspicious housemaid, Millie (Sydney Sweeney), who works in a perfect mansion while hiding her past, entangled with the secretive wife Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and the perfect husband Andrew (Brandon Sklenar). The solid twist story based on a world bestseller and the meeting of two Hollywood stars, Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, generated buzz even before its release.
The local response in North America is hot. This film, which recorded a Rotten Tomatoes popcorn score of 92%, proving high satisfaction among actual viewers, surpassed $100 million in revenue locally since its North American release on December 19. It has also exceeded $200 million in worldwide box office revenue, showing signs of long-term success.
Thanks to this global success, 〈The Housemaid〉 has confirmed the production of a sequel early on. The essence of this high-stimulation thriller that captivated the world can be seen in Korean theaters starting January 28.
