Director Ryu Seung-wan's new film, which is considered the most anticipated movie for the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday, 〈Humint〉, has confirmed its screening in the next-generation immersive sound technology format, 'Dolby Atmos®'.

On the 20th, the distributor announced the news of 〈Humint〉 being released in Dolby Atmos along with a special poster showcasing the intense presence of the lead actors. This film is a spy action movie depicting a story where characters with different purposes clash in the city of Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in the icy sea.

Sound that awakens the senses... “A sense of immersion as if you are actually on site”

〈Humint〉 utilizes 'Dolby Atmos', a technology that guides the audience into the heart of the film through three-dimensional sound flowing from all directions, including above their heads. The intense action scenes unfolding against the rugged backdrop of Vladivostok and the moments filled with tension are expected to be vividly realized through Dolby Atmos's sophisticated sound design. This will allow the audience to experience overwhelming immersion as if they are actually at the scene of the events, beyond simple viewing.

Conflicting purposes, intertwined relationships of four individuals

The released Dolby Atmos poster captures the four main characters of the film in a three-dimensional manner, drawing attention.

First, Jo In-sung plays the sharp-minded National Intelligence Service 'Section Chief Jo', anchoring the center of the plot, while Park Jung-min takes on the role of 'Park Gun', a member of the Ministry of State Security, showcasing a powerful acting transformation that evokes a chilling tension. Additionally, Park Hae-joon joins as the weighty presence of Consul 'Hwang Chi-sung', forming a taut confrontation, and Shin Se-kyung plays 'Chae Sun-hwa', a North Korean restaurant employee holding the key to the case, completing the mysterious narrative.

The relationships of the three men intertwined with Chae Sun-hwa for different purposes provide a unique tension characteristic of spy action films, stimulating the audience's curiosity.

The film 〈Humint〉, featuring impressive action sequences and meticulous psychological warfare, will be released in theaters nationwide on February 11 (Wednesday), and will meet audiences in regular screening rooms and Dolby Atmos theaters.
