The first feature documentary directed by former BIFF Executive Chairman Kim Dong-ho is coming to theaters.

According to Plus M Entertainment, Kim's first feature directorial work 〈Mr. Kim Goes to the Cinema〉 will be released exclusively at Megabox on February 19.

This documentary records the current state of theaters and films, produced by Kim himself as he visited theaters and film festivals across Asia with a camera in hand. It features interviews with world-renowned master directors such as Bong Joon-ho, Park Chan-wook, Lee Chang-dong, Hirokazu Kore-eda, the Dardenne brothers, and Luc Besson, which is expected to attract the interest of film enthusiasts.

The work was first unveiled at the 30th Busan International Film Festival held last year.

Kim Dong-ho, who served as the first executive chairman of the Busan International Film Festival for 15 years, is a key figure in the Korean film industry who helped elevate the festival to an international stature. He graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in law and has held various public positions, including the first president of the Arts Center, Vice Minister of Culture, Chairman of the Performance Ethics Committee, and President of the Korean Film Council.
