Director Ryoo Seung-wan and actress Shin Se-kyung shared their thoughts on working on the film 〈Humint〉.

On February 4th, the press screening and media conference for the film 〈Humint〉 took place at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall. On this day, director Ryoo Seung-wan, Jo In-sung, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-joon, and actress Shin Se-kyung responded to questions from domestic reporters who watched the film.

The film 〈Humint〉 tells the story of individuals with different purposes clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in the cold sea of ice. In the film, actress Shin Se-kyung plays the role of Chae Sun-hwa, a North Korean restaurant employee, who is asked by Manager Jo (Jo In-sung) to become an informant and portrays a character who becomes a humint for her survival.

Regarding the particularly beautiful portrayal of Shin Se-kyung in the film, director Ryoo Seung-wan stated, "As a director, I never specifically wanted to shoot beautifully, nor did the actress try to look pretty. If you found her beautiful, I think it reflects the fact that the actress was deeply immersed in the character of Chae Sun-hwa and gave her best performance." He added, "No matter how you shoot, she looks beautiful. It's not something I can control."

Actress Shin Se-kyung commented on her melodramatic chemistry with Park Jung-min in the film, saying, "This work is very different from the melodramatic pieces I've done before, so I was looking forward to it. Knowing that I would be filming with actor Park Jung-min made me even more excited." She also mentioned, "I genuinely thought Park Geon (Park Jung-min) looked really cool when I saw him on the monitor," and regarding the focus on expressing the relationship between Park Geon and Chae Sun-hwa, she said, "There aren't many scenes that can emotionally persuade the audience, so I tried to focus on expressing emotions in every scene."

The film 〈Humint〉 will be released on February 11th.
