〈Humint〉 Director Ryoo Seung-wan and the actors revealed the secrets of the film's reality.
On February 4th, at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall, a press screening and media conference for the film 〈Humint〉 took place. On this day, Director Ryoo Seung-wan, Jo In-sung, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-joon, and Shin Se-kyung responded to questions from domestic reporters who watched the film.
The film 〈Humint〉 tells the story of individuals with different purposes clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in the cold sea of ice.
Regarding the highlight action sequence in the latter half of 〈Humint〉, Director Ryoo Seung-wan said, “Military expert Tae Sang-ho participated as a military advisor. He also provided advice on-site for 〈Mogadishu〉 (2021), but this time he was with us from pre-production as a sort of tactical instructor,” revealing the secret to the unique reality. Director Ryoo added, “We discussed and worked on action design with Tae, considering the set, location, movement, and the arrangement of characters during gunfights, among other aspects.”
Actor Jo In-sung stated, “I went to the National Intelligence Service for shooting training and basic education. Although it was a short time of just one day, I was able to learn a lot. The way to hold the pistol in the film is the same as how agents currently hold it,” surprising everyone. Meanwhile, actor Park Jung-min mentioned, “Even if it’s just a flowing scene in the movie, when holding a firearm or during reloading, we were given very detailed instructions on where the gun should be aimed. I learned that when discarding a magazine, it should not be thrown outside but inside. I practiced at home with a BB gun to look like a skilled person.”
The film 〈Humint〉 will be released on February 11th.
