Actor Jo In-sung shared his thoughts on participating in Director Ryu Seung-wan's 〈Humint〉.

On February 4th, the press screening and media conference for the film 〈Humint〉 took place at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall. On that day, Director Ryu Seung-wan, Jo In-sung, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-joon, and Shin Se-kyung responded to questions from domestic reporters who watched the film.

The film 〈Humint〉 tells the story of individuals with different purposes clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in the cold icy sea.

Jo In-sung collaborated with Director Ryu Seung-wan for the third time, following 〈Mogadishu〉 (2021) and 〈Smuggling〉 (2023). Regarding working with Director Ryu for the third time, Jo In-sung stated, “I decided to work on 〈Humint〉 without receiving the script. We trust each other too much,” and added, “I thought about how to create this work together with the director.”

In 〈Humint〉, Jo In-sung plays the role of National Intelligence Service agent ‘Section Chief Jo’, portraying a character who struggles between a cold mission and human choices after losing an informant. Jo In-sung, who plays a character with human anguish, expressed, “In the past, I thought strong acting would stand out. But now, I am contemplating acting that is not flashy but powerful, blending in while sufficiently leading the story. This is something I am still thinking about and will continue to work on in the future. I want to become an actor who performs quietly but strongly.”

The film 〈Humint〉 will be released on February 11th.
