Q1. As a director preparing for 〈Fate War 49〉, what was the most different aspect you wanted to show compared to existing survival variety shows, and what part did you focus on the most?
Unlike themes like 'dance', 'physical', and 'cooking', 〈Fate War 49〉 is a survival show that competes with the abstract ability of 'intuition'. It is a battleground where spiritual intuition from fortune tellers (shamans/tarot) and statistical intuition from diviners (astrology/physiognomy) come together to confront each other. Therefore, the production team put their all into designing missions that viewers can verify in real-time with their eyes and ears to prove this 'abstract ability' with 'objective data'. We sought to pursue new dopamine while ensuring the fairness of the survival format, so that fortune-telling and divination do not remain mere superstitions or subjective interpretations. Above all, we believed it was important to convey the process of the cast reading fate and completing missions with their unique tools to the viewers without missing a moment.
Q2. During filming, were there any chilling moments that surprised even the production team?
When the production team had no prior information and could only read the personal pain of the participants through divination or tarot, all the fortune tellers, fate readers, and production team froze. It didn't matter whether they believed or not. The shock felt at every moment when accurately piercing through human fate was still vivid.

Q3. From the viewers' perspective, what is the most noteworthy viewing point in 〈Fate War 49〉?
This is a survival show where one must read fate by looking at a person's face and birth date and time, and cannot proceed with missions without divine assistance. Since the final product is the result of countless unexpected situations that the production team could not control, viewers watching through the screen will not be able to let go of their tension for a moment.
To call upon the spirits, they shake bells together, toss coins, draw flags, shuffle tarot cards, and examine hands and feet with magnifying glasses… I believe the strange scenes where participants showcase their spiritual abilities are the biggest charm of watching 〈Fate War 49〉. I hope you enjoy the best dopamine of 2026 while witnessing scenes that have never been seen in existing survival shows.
