One of Marvel's most original heroes, 'Spider-Man Noir', returns to 1930s New York with the face of Nicolas Cage.
According to Amazon MGM Studios on the 13th (Korean time), the first trailer for the live-action series 'Spider-Noir', starring Nicolas Cage, was released on the 12th. The series will premiere on May 25 on MGM+ channel and will be streamed worldwide in 240 countries via Prime Video on May 27.
◆ Spider-Man as an Old and Tired Detective
This series is set against the backdrop of New York during the Great Depression in the 1930s. Nicolas Cage plays a frail private detective named 'Ben Reilly', not Peter Parker. Once known as 'The Spider', he retired after a personal tragedy and dons the mask again with the cynical catchphrase, "No power, no responsibility". This is a case of Cage expanding the character from his voice role in the 2018 animated film 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse', and it marks his first lead role in a TV series in his 40-year acting career.

◆ Black and White vs. Color, What’s Your Choice?
The production team has made bold attempts to maximize the aesthetics of the noir genre. Each episode will be available in two versions: an 'Original Black and White' version reminiscent of 1930s films and a modern 'Truehue Full Color' version, allowing viewers to choose their preferred style.
◆ Reunion of the 'Spider-Verse' Dream Team
Academy Award-winning Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are involved in the production, with Emmy-winning director Harry Bradbeer at the helm. The supporting cast is also impressive. Brendan Gleeson plays the villain 'Sandman (Flint Marko)', while Jack Huston portrays crime boss 'Silvermane', adding weight to the story. Lamorne Morris takes on the role of journalist Robbie Robertson, teaming up with Cage.
This series, consisting of 8 episodes (each 45 minutes long), is produced by Sony Pictures Television and promises to deliver a unique noir action experience for Marvel fans.
