Kim Sae-ron Was the Best Actress to Me! 'We Are Every Day' Premiere and Press Conference Successfully Held!

In the chaotic world of seventeen, a tumultuous youth romance begins with the sudden confession of a childhood friend. 〈We Are Every Day〉 held a press conference on February 23 (Monday) at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall. This press conference featured director Kim Min-jae and actors Lee Chae-min, Ryu Ui-hyun, and Choi Yu-joo, who shared various behind-the-scenes stories and their feelings ahead of the release.

First, director Kim Min-jae expressed, "There were many things that happened before this movie came out. I am just grateful to meet the audience like this," sharing his feelings ahead of the release. We could also hear the excited feelings of Lee Chae-min and Choi Yu-joo, who are making their screen debut. Lee Chae-min said, "I feel nervous and excited. We worked hard, so I hope you enjoy it," while Choi Yu-joo shared, "As a huge fan of movies, I am grateful and thrilled to make my screen debut like this," honestly conveying her overwhelming emotions about meeting the audience. During this press conference, we also heard stories about the late Kim Sae-ron, who passed away early last year, playing the role of 'Yeoul'. Director Kim Min-jae recalled, "To me, Kim Sae-ron was the best actress. It seemed like she was born to act." He expressed his gratitude, saying, "Although it is a great regret that we can no longer meet, it was an honor to work with Kim Sae-ron." The actors also reminisced about their time during filming. Lee Chae-min said, "She was a good actress who guided me well as a senior, even though we were friends," while Choi Yu-joo shared, "At that time, I was really a beginner in acting, and Kim Sae-ron taught me everything, helping me complete my scenes. I feel grateful." Ryu Ui-hyun, who had built a connection with Kim Sae-ron since their child acting days, recalled, "Although she was younger than me, we got along like friends. I remember it felt awkward to wear a school uniform as an adult. There are many scenes where we play basketball in the film, and we had fun filming while playing basketball with the actors and staff during breaks," sharing his thoughts. Choi Yu-joo reflected, "Watching the movie again brought back memories of my school days. During filming, all the actors were of the same age, so we always laughed and had a good time together." Ryu Ui-hyun added, "There was a scene where we played basketball in the film, but I actually don’t know how to play basketball at all. The director just told me to do it, so I did, but I remember being flustered when he said, 'If you can’t do it this well, you should have said something' while we were filming," sharing a humorous episode.

Finally, director Kim Min-jae stated, "〈We Are Every Day〉 is a story about growth. I wanted to convey the message that the authenticity shown by the characters in the film as they grow can change others." Lee Chae-min added, "I hope it resonates with teenagers and brings back good memories for audiences in their 20s, 30s, and beyond." Ryu Ui-hyun remarked, "I think it’s a comfortable movie that anyone can relate to, and it will allow you to reminisce about memories," while Choi Yu-joo expressed, "This is a work completed with the efforts of many actors and staff.
