The adaptation of Keigo Higashino's novel, 〈The Camphor Sentinel〉, has revealed its release date in South Korea.

〈The Camphor Sentinel〉 will be released in South Korean theaters on March 18. This is the first animated adaptation of a work by Japan's bestselling author Keigo Higashino, telling the story of a camphor tree that grants wishes and the secrets of the night visitors searching for the tree.

The main poster released alongside the March 18 release date captures the mysterious and intriguing essence of the work. The enormous camphor tree, measuring over 5 meters in diameter and 20 meters in height, is rumored to grant wishes to those who make a wish inside it. Reito, who accidentally takes on the role of the camphor tree's guardian, gradually approaches the secrets held by the tree as he meets various people. The immersive story unfolding in this process is expected to deliver warmth and entertainment.

〈The Camphor Sentinel〉 features a solid story by Keigo Higashino, directed by Tomohiko Ito, who is from the team of director Mamoru Hosoda known for 〈The Girl Who Leapt Through Time〉, along with Hiroshi Takiguchi, art director of 〈Your Name.〉 and 〈Weathering with You〉, among other leading figures in Japanese animation.
