The Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters (hereafter referred to as KPopDemonHunters) has won the Golden Globe, Grammy, and now the Producers Guild of America (PGA) award, raising expectations for an Oscar win.

According to the Producers Guild of America website, on the 28th of last month (local time), at the 37th PGA Awards held in Los Angeles (LA), Michelle Wong, the producer of KPopDemonHunters, was selected as the winner of the Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Animated Feature award.

KPopDemonHunters tells the story of the girl group 'HuntRix', who are demon hunters battling against the demon boy group Lion Boys that prey on people's souls. It has been recorded as Netflix's highest-grossing work of all time.

The top award of the ceremony, the Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Picture award, went to Adam Somner for One Battle After Another, while the TV drama category was won by The Pit, and the TV comedy category was won by The Studio. The PGA Awards are considered a key indicator of the Oscar outcomes as they are held just before the Academy Awards.

KPopDemonHunters previously won the Animated Feature and Original Song awards at the Golden Globe Awards in January, and last month at the Grammy Awards, it became the first K-pop genre to win an award.

It has been nominated for the Best Animated Feature category at the 98th Academy Awards, which will be held on the 15th, and is also nominated for the Original Song award with the track 'Golden', drawing attention to whether KPopDemonHunters will make it to the Oscars.
