Celebrating its 30th anniversary, YG Entertainment has unveiled a powerful lineup of its artists and a roadmap for activities in 2026. On the 4th, YG Entertainment posted the 〈2026 YG PLAN | YG ANNOUNCEMENT〉 video on its official blog. Yang Hyun-suk, the chief producer, who stood in front of the camera for the first time in about 6 months since last August, introduced YG's major projects planned for this year, raising fans' expectations.
◆Big Bang's 20th anniversary concert "There will be no difficulties"
The biggest focus is on the return of Big Bang, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Yang Hyun-suk officially stated, "We have agreed to hold a concert with the members of Big Bang." This not only commemorates Big Bang's 20-year music journey but also demonstrates the strength of the 'YG Family' that has long pioneered the K-pop market together. He added, "Since we have worked together for a long time, I believe there will be no difficulties," and promised, "All staff will do their best to create a perfect and wonderful performance."
◆Baby Monster and TREASURE to make comebacks and launch global tours in May and June
Baby Monster and TREASURE, the next-generation power of YG, will also be actively engaged. Baby Monster will release a mini album in May and a second full album in the fall. Regarding the title track 'CHOOM', Yang said, "It feels Eastern, as if a person is spreading their arms and dancing," and announced a second world tour covering South America and Europe starting in June. TREASURE, which will release a mini album in June, will challenge the hip-hop genre at the request of its members and plans to open the second act of their activities with 'YG-style' music that they have not shown before.
◆Commitment to the 30th anniversary and outline of new group launch plans
Yang Hyun-suk, reflecting on the 30th anniversary this year, promised, "I will continue to create music diligently without losing my original intention until the 40th and 50th anniversaries." Meanwhile, the video subtitles revealed specific outlines of the rookie group launch plans announced last year. YG is preparing a new boy group aiming for this fall, and following the previous members, the remaining two members of the four-member girl group Next Monster (tentative name) will be revealed soon, drawing the attention of global music fans.
