Actor Jung Kyung Ho returns to the small screen with a new drama 〈Romance at Forty〉 that depicts a romance at forty. On the 4th, his agency Management Orem announced that Jung Kyung Ho has confirmed his appearance in the upcoming project 〈Romance at Forty〉. 〈Romance at Forty〉 is a romantic story about a man and a woman who become infatuated with each other at the age of forty, a time when one is not swayed by anything.
Jung Kyung Ho will take on the role of Na Yi Jun, the flagship anchor of the news department, marking a new acting transformation. Na Yi Jun is an elite who grew up in an ordinary middle-class family and achieved a perfect score on the college entrance exam, becoming the youngest anchor. However, despite his glamorous resume, he suffers from early menopause syndrome at forty, causing his self-esteem to plummet. Jung Kyung Ho is expected to portray the human flaws hidden behind perfection with his unique attention to detail.
This work humorously and excitingly depicts the process of star anchor Na Yi Jun, who falls into early menopause, awakening their withered romantic cells while trying to save a program with the lowest ratings, in a rivalry with a so-called 'sammyeo' writer. Produced by How Pictures, the project is directed by Lee Chang Min, who has proven his excellent directing skills through JTBC 〈Agency〉 and Netflix 〈Cashier〉, raising expectations for the quality of the work.
Since his debut in 2003, Jung Kyung Ho has steadily built a solid filmography, recently achieving four consecutive hits with 〈Hospital Playlist〉, 〈Crash Course in Romance〉, 〈Lawyer Nam Goong Jin〉, and 〈Pro Bono〉, firmly establishing himself as a 'trustworthy actor'. With his unique delicate emotional expressions and character absorption, he has renewed his life character in each work, and the public's attention is focused on what charm he will showcase in this realistic melodrama for those in their forties.
