Yoon Seok-yeol Acting as Gong Hyung-jin? Movie ‘Martial Law 12.3’ Casts Gong Hyung-jin, Lee Ga-ryeong, and Lee Sang-hoon!

The first feature film dealing with the unprecedented event in South Korean constitutional history, the 12.3 martial law 〈Martial Law 12.3〉 (Subtitle: PM 10:24), has confirmed its main casting and will crank in during the first half of the year. 〈Martial Law 12.3〉 is inspired by the martial law incident that occurred on December 3, 2024. The production company IP Box Media 1, led by CEO Park Kyung-soo, is directly writing and directing the film. With the elegant visual beauty of cinematographer Jang Ah-ram, who has been recognized for her skills through numerous works, it promises the birth of a high-quality political drama that densely captures the urgency of the incident.

〈Martial Law 12.3〉 reconstructs and delves into the reasons and conspiracies behind the martial law that should never happen in 21st century South Korea, using the writer's imagination to explore the behind-the-scenes of that night. The protagonist 'Gye-young', who became president after entering Yeouido from the position of prosecutor general in Seocho-dong, will be depicted in a tense manner as he pulls out the extreme card of martial law.

The leading actors who will drive the play are Gong Hyung-jin, Lee Ga-ryeong, and Lee Sang-hoon. Actor Gong Hyung-jin chose 〈Martial Law 12.3〉 as his comeback work after a long break. He plays the role of president 'Gye-young', who distrusts the politicians in Yeouido and seeks to follow his own path. Actress Lee Ga-ryeong, who has starred in popular dramas such as ‘The Queen's House’ and ‘Marriage Lyrics, Divorce Composition’, plays the role of 'Geun-hee', the wife of the protagonist Gye-young and a CEO. Actor Lee Sang-hoon, who has showcased unique performances in various works, joins as 'Lee Yong-hyun', Gye-young's high school senior, adding weight to the play. The three actors who joined the project expressed their overwhelming feelings about participating, saying, “The sight of the people protecting South Korea inside and outside the National Assembly at that time was more moving than any other work.”
