A broad daylight shooting incident targeting the home of pop star Rihanna (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) occurred near Beverly Hills, a representative affluent area in the United States.

According to NBC News and others on the 9th (local time), a 35-year-old woman fired a rifle at Rihanna's home around 1 PM the previous day and fled in a vehicle before being arrested.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the shooter fired at least 10 shots with an AR-15 style rifle, one of which penetrated a wall. Bullet marks were also found on the front gate of the house and on a parked recreational vehicle (RV). At the time, Rihanna was inside the house but was not injured. The residence is home to Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, and their three children, including a 6-month-old daughter.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) apprehended the shooter, who fled in a vehicle, about 13 kilometers away from the scene at a shopping center on charges of attempted murder. The motive for the shooting has not yet been revealed.

Rihanna is a global pop star who has won 9 Grammy Awards for hits like 'Umbrella' and 'Rude Boy'. This is not the first incident to occur at her home. In 2018, a 27-year-old man was arrested for stalking after he broke into Rihanna's residence in Hollywood Hills and stayed for about 12 hours before being discovered.
