Go to Texas, you—Na Young-seok X Lee Seo-jin “Lee Seo-jin’s Dalla Dalla” Production Presentation Wraps Up!

Following 〈Three Meals at a Time in Kenya〉, the latest project from the Na Young-seok crew, this is the second release from Netflix after their first.

With no plan and no script—this American roaming variety show, 〈Lee Seo-jin’s Dalla Dalla〉—successfully wrapped its production presentation on Tuesday, the 24th. At the event, Na Young-seok, producer Kim Ye-seul, and “The Guide” Lee Seo-jin attended, sharing stories about an American roaming variety show audiences have never seen before.

〈Lee Seo-jin’s Dalla Dalla〉 is the second Netflix release from the Na Young-seok crew, following 〈Three Meals at a Time in Kenya〉. The crew has earned tremendous love through countless hit shows such as [Two Days & One Night], [Three Meals a Day], [New Journey to the West], [Ask Us Anything?], [Off to Work Fifteen], and [Bbang Bbang Earth Entertainment Room]. Above all, with expectations high for the travels of Lee Seo-jin and the Na Young-seok crew, producer Na shared, “When we usually travel with Mr. Lee Seo-jin, I don’t think there’s a better guide than this. I had a fun time again this time.” He added, “Rather than going exactly as planned, it’s a trip where you go to places Mr. Lee Seo-jin likes—so maybe it’ll be easy to follow along comfortably.” Producer Kim Ye-seul also said, “When making a travel program, it was the first time we didn’t feel like we were the ones driving and instead just followed along.” She added, “I got to see so many different sides of Mr. Lee Seo-jin, and it was a trip that made me realize just how charming Texas really is,” raising expectations with her impressions.

Lee Seo-jin’s transformation into a guide—beloved for his signature candid talk—looks set to become the biggest highlight to watch on this trip. Lee Seo-jin, who teased his strong love for Texas, explained why he chose Texas as the destination: “It’s a great place where, if I retire, I’d think, ‘I should live somewhere like this.’ But not many people who have been to Texas, and I always said I should go. Now that I finally had the chance, I was able to film and travel—so it was a great opportunity.” The remarks from the rest of the group continued as well. Producer Na said, “If you ask someone to take you somewhere, they’ll complain about why you want to go, but in the end they’ll take you everywhere. That part might be grumbling, but it has a tsundere kind of vibe.” Pointing out Lee Seo-jin’s charm as a “tsundere guide,” producer Kim Ye-seul added, “It’s a special trip where you can enjoy Lee Seo-jin’s tastes.” She also emphasized, “It’s not just a travel program—it’s a process of getting to know the person called ‘Lee Seo-jin,’” highlighting the appeal of enjoying a Texas trip by following the guide, Lee Seo-jin.

As such, this “Lee Seo-jin-style” travel course is set to deliver a fresh kind of fun—a “wild, wandering trip”—that flows according to the guide’s preferences, with no plan or purpose. Producer Kim Ye-seul said, “There’s fun in a trip that isn’t following the standard way. I thought it reflects Lee Seo-jin’s tastes, his lifestyle, and more—so isn’t this the right kind of program for you to watch?” She also previewed the new experience viewers will get. Producer Na Young-seok shared, “It’s not a trip where you follow a guidebook—it’s a trip where you follow your own tastes. There should be a lot of fun in discovering travel routes based on Lee Seo-jin’s preferences,” pointing out the key moments to look forward to.

There’s also the pleasure of seeing the chemistry between Lee Seo-jin and the Na Young-seok crew, built on 15 years of friendship. Producer Kim Ye-seul, who watched their rhythm from up close, cleverly described their chemistry as “an energetic female lead” and “a cynical male lead,” saying, “On-site, it felt like Tiki-taka was working really well, but when I looked at it during later editing, it came across like a typical romantic comedy.” She teased the excitement of their unique flow. Meanwhile, Lee Seo-jin, who stepped up as the guide, added to the excitement by saying about this trip, “As a guide, it was genuinely enjoyable. Seeing the travelers I led be happy and enjoy themselves made me happy too.” For producer Na, describing the trip with guide Lee Seo-jin, “Everything was perfect except for shopping,” leaving a “4.5-star” kind of review. Producer Kim Ye-seul, meanwhile, gave it a five-star review, saying, “It was a trip where I got completely immersed in Lee Seo-jin,” further piquing curiosity.

Lastly, producer Na Young-seok said, “If you watch a lot, I’ll follow Lee Seo-jin as far as my strength allows and work hard to film.” Then producer Kim Ye-seul said, “It’s a program where you can feel Lee Seo-jin’s affection and knowledge about Texas. I hope you’ll enjoy it as a program that immerses you in Lee Seo-jin.” Finally, Lee Seo-jin said, “I hope you can feel a new kind of Texas. There are many cities I’m already thinking about for the future,” raising expectations for the next destination of the “Lee Seo-jin-type” travel. Meanwhile, 〈Lee Seo-jin’s Dalla Dalla〉 will be available exclusively on Netflix starting today (the 24th).
