〈Goldland〉 is a golden, greed-fueled survival thriller in which Hee-joo (played by Park Bo-young), a customs officer who accidentally gets her hands on 150 billion won worth of gold bars from a smuggling organization, fights to keep the gold for herself amid a chaotic tangle of greed and betrayal.

In the released stills, Park Bo-young stares at herself in the mirror as if making a firm decision. In particular, to convey the desperation of someone trying to survive in extreme circumstances, she even went as far as cutting weight, unveiling a dry, withered look that sharply contrasts with her previous vibrant image, grabbing viewers’ attention.

Regarding this character, Park Bo-young said, “Until now, I’ve played many roles where the character wins with a smile, but for Hee-joo, I wanted to show a dry face—someone who’s trying to survive no matter what.” She added, “As filming went on, I was surprised at how increasingly ‘Hee-joo-like’ I became. I tried every intense move I could,” revealing her special confidence in her performance transformation.
