'Climax' Finds Success in Taiwan and Indonesia... #1 in Taiwan & #1 in Indonesia for Three Straight Weeks

ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 〈Climax〉 is maintaining its box-office momentum as it tops both global platform charts and domestic viewing metrics.

According to the global OTT ranking site FlixPatrol on the 7th, 〈Climax〉 took #1 in the Taiwan region and claimed #1 in Indonesia for three straight weeks. In addition, results from viewer-count tracking on the platform Rakuten Viki showed that in North America, Europe, Oceania, and the Middle East, it entered the top five (TOP5) during its first week after release.

It’s also staying in the lead in domestic metrics. Based on Nielsen Korea’s figures for the 6th, the Seoul Capital Area 2049 target audience recorded a rating of 0.733%, ranking #1 in the Monday-Tuesday drama category. On Disney+, as of the 7th, it has held onto the #1 position in Korea for 21 consecutive days. Online buzz metrics are also ranking near the top. According to the FUNdex results for the first week of April, it took #1 for three consecutive weeks in the category of television drama broadcast works. Beyond that, it also won the #1 spot on Naver Open Talk rankings and secured the #1 position in the drama category of Kinolights’ “Monthly Trend Ranking,” respectively.

〈Climax〉 is a 10-episode drama about an undercover prosecutor, Bang Tae-seop, who jumps into a cartel of power to take the top spot in South Korea, and the intense survival struggle of those around him. Directed by Lee Ji-won, who previously won awards such as Best New Director at the Baeksang Arts Awards for the film 〈Miss Baek〉, it is directed by Lee Ji-won and co-written (by debut writer Seol Lee). The cast includes Joo Ji-hoon, Ha Ji-won, Nana, Jung-se Yeo, and Cha Joo-young.
