From Hee-seung in ENHYPEN to EVAN... EVAN opens an Instagram account and reveals his first profile photo

Heeseung, a former member of the K-pop group ENHYPEN, is launching his solo career under a new stage name, “EVAN.”

On the 9th, his agency, Belift Lab, said that EVAN opened his official “SNS channel” on the 8th and unveiled his first profile photo as a solo artist.

In the released profile photo, EVAN minimized his makeup and styled his hair to look slightly unkempt, highlighting a natural look. The agency explained, “This expresses the purest form of EVAN—before adding anything else, before being defined as any particular kind of presence or interpreted in any way.”

He debuted in 2020 as a member of ENHYPEN, and has since been active across multiple areas such as vocals, rap, and performance. He has also demonstrated his producing capabilities by directly participating in the making of songs like “Highway 1009” and “Dial Tragedy.”

“EVAN,” his new stage name, is the name he has used since childhood, representing his new self and musical identity as a solo artist. EVAN said, “I want to bring back the name I made when I was younger and present EVAN with a fresh mindset,” adding, “I’ll come one step at a time closer to my fans with music that fully captures my most honest and natural self.”
