‘Supergirl’ A New Icon: From Supergirl’s Birth to a Crypto Comeback! Two First Look Stills Revealed!

An out-of-this-world problem and the loner everyone called ‘Supergirl’—this is the story of her standing up to absolute evil, the turning point that kicks off the events that will completely change her life.

The movie 〈Supergirl〉 is an action blockbuster in which an out-of-this-world problem, once labeled a loner ‘Supergirl,’ finds her true path by confronting absolute evil—the beginning of the incident that will flip her life upside down. The first released stills spotlight ‘Supergirl’ Kara Joel (Milly Alcock), who is free-spirited yet full of energy, drawing major attention. From her messy hair and curious, wide-eyed gaze as she looks at something, to her playful expressions, ‘Supergirl’ leads the viewer’s attention with an attraction from a whole new dimension—breaking away from the image of a typical hero. Alongside that, she’s seen wearing a large headset and sunglasses, while dressed in a trench coat as she pilots a spacecraft, further capturing attention. And now, ‘Crypto,’ the superdog that won hearts worldwide for its unmistakable presence in the 2025 summer blockbuster 〈Superman〉, returns to mark a special moment. In particular, an unexpected sight shows the mischievous ‘Crypto’ behaving with poise, standing by ‘Supergirl’—sure to surprise would-be viewers and whet their curiosity about what journey lies ahead.  

The movie 〈Supergirl〉 is directed by Craig Gillespie, who completes a distinctive character narrative with 〈Cruella〉 and pulls viewers in with high-density directing, raising expectations. Joining the cast, Milly Alcock—who appeared in HBO’s representative drama 〈House of the Dragon〉 and earned critical praise for “acting talent so outstanding it’s hard to believe she’s a newcomer”—was also nominated for the 2023 Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress. In addition, Jason Momoa—who previously drew 5 million viewers in Korea in 〈Aquaman〉—will appear as the character ‘Krypto’ (Robbo), a role that captured intense love in DC Comics, signaling the star power that will turn heads in Hollywood. All eyes are on how this once-in-a-lifetime ensemble, featuring highly anticipated directors and performers, will unfold on screen.  

The movie 〈Supergirl〉 will be released in Korea in June 2026.
