"Look Up? No, you should be careful (Look Out)." The good, model student Supergirl we knew is gone. A rough and edgy 'Woman of Tomorrow' wearing sunglasses and boarding a spaceship is coming.
On the 11th (local time), DC Studios released the first teaser for the second film in the new DC Universe (DCU) designed by James Gunn, 'Supergirl', and announced that the main trailer would be released today at 11:59 AM (Eastern Standard Time).
◆ Punk Supergirl in a Trench Coat
The released 15-second teaser was intense. Milly Alcock portrays Kara Zor-El, who appears alone at a desolate station wearing sunglasses and a trench coat. The spaceship landing with a cloud of dust and her flowing hair seemed to tear straight from Tom King's masterpiece graphic novel 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow'.
The copy on the poster is also striking. By adding the word "Whatever" behind Superman's symbol of "Truth and Justice," it hints that she is a completely different cynical character from her cousin Superman (Kal-El).
Director James Gunn praised, "Superman grew up loved on Earth, but Kara grew up watching everyone die on the remnants of Krypton," adding, "Milly Alcock has all the 'edge, elegance, and authenticity' needed for this role, making it the best casting I've done."

◆ Jason Momoa Returns as 'Lobo'
Another highlight of this film is the casting. It has been confirmed that Jason Momoa, who was 'Aquaman', will appear as the intergalactic bounty hunter 'Lobo', exciting fans.
The film depicts Kara, who celebrates her 21st birthday, traveling the galaxy with her dog Crypto, meeting a girl named Lucy (played by Eve Ridley) who has experienced a tragic event, and embarking on a quest for revenge. Matthias Schoenaerts has been cast as the main villain 'Krem'.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, 'Supergirl' is set to be released on June 26, 2026.
