JTBC’s weekend drama series 〈We Are All Trying Here〉 (hereafter 〈Motamu-musso〉) ended its run after its broadcast on the 24th. Lead actor Koo Kyo-hwan shared his thoughts on finishing the project through his agency.

In this work, Koo Kyo-hwan played Hwang Dong-man, a character who spends 20 years preparing to make his film-directing debut. In the drama, Hwang Dong-man wrapped up the story by completing and unveiling his own directorial work in the final episode, then winning the New Director Award and reaching his goal. Koo Kyo-hwan led the center of the show by portraying the character’s process of anxiety and growth.

Through his agency, Namoo Actors, Koo Kyo-hwan said, "As I read viewers’ reviews, I suddenly felt, 'I’m in that place too.'" He then mentioned "All for One, One for All," a line from the show, and expressed his gratitude to viewers. He added, "I hope this was a time when those who are fighting their own sense of worthlessness could feel a sense of comfort, even if only for a moment."

After wrapping up the drama schedule, Koo Kyo-hwan has continued his activities on the screen. He is currently meeting audiences in the film 〈Colony〉, released on May 21, in which he plays the role of Dr. Seo Young-cheol, a biologist. 〈Colony〉 was recently invited to the Midnight Screening section of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival.
