'The Ruler of Summer' Returns, a Massive Wave That Breaks a 2-Year-and-2-Month Silence

The owner of summer season takes the throne again. The group 'Red Velvet' will roll out its eagerly awaited new mini-album 'Velvet Summer (Velvet Summer)' on the 3rd of next month, kicking off a major shift in the music industry. Amid a flood of run-of-the-mill seasonal songs, this is the moment when 'Summer Queen'—the dominant presence they have proven—can shine once more.

This new release is a full-group album unveiled for the first time in a massive 2 years and 2 months since 'Cosmic,' which came out in June 2024. With the long hiatus finally over, global music market attention is focused on them. Leading the album is the title track 'Surfin' Boy,' followed by a total of five tracks, which are expected to deliver the captivating and finely crafted musical variations only 'Red Velvet' can create.

Since debuting in 2014 with 'Happiness,' they have proven an unlimited range by moving between group activities, units, and solo work.
