Red Velvet's Wendy and MeloMance's Kim Min-seok will participate in the OST of the new SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama 〈Kiss is Unnecessary!〉 starring Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin.
Set to premiere on the 12th, 〈Kiss is Unnecessary!〉 is a mutual romance between a single woman, ‘Go Da-rim’ (played by Ahn Eun-jin), who disguises herself as a working mother for survival, and her team leader ‘Gong Ji-hyuk’ (played by Jang Ki-yong), who falls in love with her. The drama promises a thrilling and intense dopamine explosion romance that starts with a kiss, featuring the hot pairing of the two actors Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin in 2025, raising expectations for the revival of the SBS weekday romance drama syndrome.
According to the OST production company Donuts Culture, a variety of artists with diverse charms and personalities, including Wendy (WENDY) and Kim Min-seok, will join the OST lineup of 〈Kiss is Unnecessary!〉.
On the first broadcast day, the 12th at 6 PM, BBGIRLS will kick off with a medium-tempo song titled ‘Don't Give It Up’, which contains a message of promising to feel each other's hearts and run together until the end. Following that, on the 16th, Wendy's emotional ballad ‘One Word is Enough’, which expresses that a heartfelt word is sufficient rather than grand statements when expressing love, will take over. On the 19th, Kim Min-seok's lively medium-tempo song ‘Special Day’, which sings about the feelings of being in love that makes you smile just by looking at them, will be released.
With Wendy, who has established herself as the ‘OST Queen’ with her clear and pure tone and rich emotional expression, and Kim Min-seok, who possesses a delightful ‘sweet voice’ that captivates everyone, joining the cast, they are expected to be a strong support for the romantic mood of Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin in 〈Kiss is Unnecessary!〉. Subsequently, OST songs featuring Sondia, The Stray, Jeon Sang-geun, KLANG, Able, and paulkyte will be released sequentially.
