Director Ha Jung-woo's new work is being invited to film festivals both domestically and internationally.

The film 〈The People Upstairs〉 tells an unpredictable story that unfolds when a couple from the upstairs (Ha Jung-woo & Lee Ha-nee) and a couple from the downstairs (Gong Hyo-jin & Kim Dong-wook) end up having dinner together due to unusual noise disturbances every night.

〈The People Upstairs〉 was officially invited to the section 'Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere' at the 30th Busan International Film Festival, which showcases the latest Korean commercial films with artistic and popular appeal. Following this, 〈The People Upstairs〉 was also invited to the 10th London East Asia Film Festival (LEAFF), which opened across London on October 23 (Thursday) and ran until November 2. The London East Asia Film Festival is a representative Asian film festival that widely promotes Korean and Asian films throughout Europe, and 〈The People Upstairs〉 received the 'LEAF Honorary Award' for Contribution. The 'LEAF Honorary Award' is given to individuals recognized for their contributions to elevating the status of film, with past recipients including director Jeong Ji-young and actor Lee Jung-jae among other prominent Asian filmmakers. At the time, it was praised as "a work where Ha Jung-woo's sensibility and sense are perfectly infused," receiving great laughter and applause from many filmmakers present.

The film 〈The People Upstairs〉 depicts the unpredictable conversations that arise when two couples, entangled in nightly unusual noise, share a meal together, and it will be released on December 3 (Wednesday).
