Kim Do-hoon, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Jun-gi, and Lee Sang-yi confirm casting for Netflix film “Dochabi” A new project from “The Owl” director Ahn Tae-jin!

Netflix has confirmed production of the film 〈Dochabi〉 and unveiled a casting lineup that is expected to draw attention with a fresh, appealing mix that includes Kim Do-hoon, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Jun-gi, Lee Sang-yi, and Bae In-hyeok. Netflix film 〈Dochabi〉 is an action historical drama set in a border region where hwarajeon farmers form villages. It follows “Tae-san,” a former military officer who lived in hiding in the deeper mountains with the Yeo-jin woman “Ahai,” as he takes on the mysterious figure “I Do-gwan,” who wears an unidentified mask to hunt the hwarajeon—and becomes known as “Dochabi.” The title “Dochabi” is a pure Korean term meaning “Dokkaebi” (goblin).

Film 〈Dochabi〉 also puts the spotlight on director Ahn Tae-jin’s new work. He first drew wide acclaim with his debut feature 〈The Night Owl〉, which won a best film award at major film festivals, and he went on to impress audiences and critics with his distinctive directorial sensibility. Jeon Jong-seo will play “Ahai,” adding even more anticipation. Lee Jun-gi will portray “I Do-gwan,” the top commander of the border region.
