
〈Warfare〉 opens, with Choi Young-jae and Yook Jun-seo firing supporting shots.
〈Warfare〉, a film opening Aug. 19, is a real-time military survival action movie depicting the extreme survival story of the “Alpha One” SEAL platoon, which became cut off in a surprise attack shortly after the 2006 Iraq Ramadi battle. Directed by filmmaker Alex Garland and led by Ray Mendoza, a former Navy SEAL who was on the actual scene at the time, 〈Warfare〉 has announced a variety of events running before and after release. In particular, a relay mega-talk event featuring real guests who have come from special forces drew attention.


First, on Aug. 19, opening day, “MildokXYeongdeok Steel Mega-talk” will be held at MegaBox COEX. The event will feature Cineplay editor-in-chief Ju Seong-cheol and Choi Young-jae, who is a former Special Forces 707 member and has been active as the “Steel Troops” master, who will break down the film and modern special forces in detail. Then on Aug. 20, “Real Survival Mega-talk” will be held at MegaBox Guui Eastpol. At the mega-talk, reporter Lee Hwa-jeong and actor Yook Jun-seo, who is a former UDT special forces member, will attend, and viewers will be able to look into extreme survival situations through the eyes of a real special forces veteran.
In addition, 〈Warfare〉 will hold premiere screening events on Aug. 15 and 16, and a Type 1 supply giveaway screening event over Aug. 22 and 23, and the film will officially open on Aug. 19.
