'I Am Doom': 'Avengers: Doomsday' Unveils Poster, Trailer

Marvel unveiled a poster titled "Doom's Arrival" and a trailer titled "Doom's Judgment" for 〈Avengers: Doomsday〉, the Anthony and Joe Russo-directed blockbuster scheduled for release at the end of 2026. The Walt Disney Company Korea, which is handling the film's import and distribution, announced the releases and signaled a new clash in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

The newly released "Doom's Arrival" poster shows Doctor Doom in a dark cloak and mask against a green-hued stained-glass window. Its towering silhouette and ominous visuals dominated by green hues convey an unknowable menace and herald the arrival of a new ultimate evil.

The companion "Doom's Judgment" trailer opens with Susan Storm (Vanessa Kirby) referring to Victor before he became Doctor Doom. It then cuts to a scene in which Doom issues a chilling warning in response to a question from Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), followed by shots of heroes from each universe — Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Scott (Paul Rudd), Shuri (Letitia Wright) and others. In the trailer's final moments, Doom easily repels Thor's attack and says, "Even hell will obey me," heightening the tension.

The Russo brothers, who directed previous installments in the Avengers series, are directing this installment, and Robert Downey Jr., who played Iron Man, is cast as Doctor Doom. The film also assembles a major MCU ensemble, including Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Tom Hiddleston, Vanessa Kirby, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, Simu Liu, Channing Tatum, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart.

The Marvel blockbuster 〈Avengers: Doomsday〉, which will signal the start of the MCU's largest war to date, is scheduled to open in theaters at the end of 2026.
