Yeom Jung-ah and Park Eun-bin will star in 〈Nam Eun-jung〉, director Kim Dong-hoon's feature debut, marking their first screen collaboration. KT Studio Genie, which is presenting and distributing the film, said on the 17th that it had finalized the cast and entered preproduction.

The film 〈Nam Eun-jung〉 tells the story of mother Hyun-sook and her youngest daughter Eun-jung, who were never close, as they work through the emotional misunderstandings that have built up between them over a lifetime. Yeom, who marks the 35th anniversary of her debut this year, and Park, who marks her 30th, bring a combined 65 years of acting experience to the mother-daughter roles.

Yeom Jung-ah will play Kang Hyun-sook, a mother who single-handedly raised three children. She is a warm, deeply human character who has endured life's many turning points. Park Eun-bin will play Nam Eun-jung, a daughter who clashes with her mother amid years of pent-up emotion, returning to the screen for the first time since 〈The Witch (魔女) Part 2. The Other One〉.

Kim Dong-hoon, a newcomer who won South Korea's top advertising prize twice for story-centered commercials, will direct.
