〈The Person in a Blanket〉 is bringing audiences together for a groundbreaking workshop.
The documentary 〈The Person in a Blanket〉 follows Jeong-mi as she attempts to live on 0 won at the brink of financial ruin and searches for the true reason to keep living at the end of that fear. Ahead of its Sept. 9 release, 〈The Person in a Blanket〉 is taking on another new challenge: creating a photo wall banner through hand-sewing.
The 'Death Sewing Club,' a creative hand-sewing movement led by musicians 'Sun and Young (Boktae and Hangun),' makes clothing by cutting fabric without waste and shares the benefits of engaging the senses through hands-on work. This collaborative promotion will take the form of a special workshop in which audience members will participate directly to create a photo wall banner for use in promoting the film. The event will also include a screening, and the photo wall banner completed by the audience will be used directly at the film's official events and in promotional materials.
The banner-making workshop puts into practice the film's approach to life and its environmental themes. It will be held Thursday, Aug. 27. Registration details and further information are available through the official social media accounts of the 'Death Sewing Club' and Cinema Dal.
