Born in New York in 1954, Michael Wright built a strong acting foundation on the Off-Broadway stage. He made his screen debut in the 1979 film 'The Wanderers' and earned critical acclaim in 1983 for his role in 'Streamers', directed by acclaimed filmmaker Robert Altman. He shared the Venice International Film Festival award for best actor.
