TUIDE, a seven-member multinational girl group and the first act introduced by ABD, a new label under HYBE Music Group, is making its debut in the Korean music industry with the release of its first mini-album.

TUIDE (Seo-hee, Seo-yeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Se-a and Lee Ha-neui) will release its debut album, ‘TUNE & PLAY,’ simultaneously worldwide through various music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. on the 24th. The group’s name means “Tune the tide,” reflecting its bold ambition to create new enjoyment through its own distinctive rhythms and music. The debut album condenses that identity and the power of harmony among its seven members into five tracks. It captures TUNE — tuning different musical languages into a single rhythm — and PLAY, the fun found within it.

The title track, ‘SUN KISS,’ portrays the moment of trusting one’s own voice and sensibility and focusing on the rhythm and emotions within. An addictive hook grabs listeners over a lively sound built on the contrast between a wild track and a laid-back melody, while flexible yet dynamic choreography gives visual form to the song’s groove. The album contains five tracks, including the title song, ‘ABD,’ ‘Echo,’ ‘Flip-Flop Girl’ and ‘GRLS.’ Hitmaker GroovyRoom produced every track, and the group moves fluidly across a range of genres centered on its “Soultronic” style, which combines the warmth of soul with the polish of electronic music.

TUIDE earned favorable responses on global charts, including Spotify, through pre-released tracks and a highlight medley even before its debut. The group is now mounting an unusually large-scale promotion for a rookie act. Starting with the album’s release on the 24th, full versions of its new music video and an exclusive time-signal video will be shown for a month on the giant media facade at Shinsegae Square at Shinsegae Department Store’s main branch in Jung-gu, Seoul. TUIDE will hold its debut showcase at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at 8 p.m. that day, marking its first meeting with fans as it begins to establish a new direction in K-pop.
