NEXZ set to drop six-track ‘SAUCIN’ on the 24th in head-to-head battle with BIGBANG and Stray Kids

NEXZ, the next-generation driving force of JYP Entertainment, will join the fiercely contested boy group comeback season by releasing its fourth mini-album, ‘SAUCIN’, at 6 p.m. on the 24th.

The album title, ‘SAUCIN’, is an original compound word combining ‘SAUCE’ with the progressive suffix “-ing.” It conveys the group’s firm determination to add NEXZ’s unique appeal to any stage or concept and create something special. The album features six tracks, including the title song of the same name, ‘SAUCIN’, along with ‘LOCO,’ ‘APPETITE,’ and ‘UPGRADE,’ all driven by relentless growth and explosive energy.

The members’ leading role in the album’s creation is particularly noteworthy. Tomoya, Haru and Hyui directly participated in writing and composing the third track, ‘APPETITE.’ Tomoya also received a production credit on the fifth track, ‘20 NOW,’ further demonstrating his abilities as a producer.

Yuu said of the new album, “No matter which track you choose, you won’t be able to resist being captivated by NEXZ’s signature sense of rhythm.” He expressed his confidence, calling it “an album that begins with the light curiosity of ‘trying a bite’ but ultimately turns into ‘pouring it all over’ and falling deeply in.” Regarding the title track, ‘SAUCIN,’ he added, “The moment you hear the first line, it has such overwhelming energy that you can picture the spectacle of breathing together with a crowd at a major festival.”

Sogeon likewise declared, “NEXZ’s irreplaceable weapon is undoubtedly its ‘performance.’” He added, “I feel the greatest sense of accomplishment when our performances earn praise from the public, who say, ‘I want to watch that again.’”

NEXZ, formed with top-tier members from South Korea and Japan, will go head-to-head during this promotion cycle with major groups that dominate the K-pop scene, including BIGBANG, NCT 127, Stray Kids and ENHYPEN. Tomoya said, “Simply being active at the same time as such formidable senior and junior artists will serve as a powerful catalyst for breaking through our limits.” He also voiced his firm resolve, saying, “We will make a deep and lasting impression on global fans that ‘NEXZ is a team that truly enjoys and overwhelms onstage.’”
