The fandom of girl group RESCENE, known as REMINE, has donated more than 100 million won to help residents affected by torrential rains in southern regions.

A 100 million-won miracle sparked by one fan’s proposal REMINE donated 112,537,680 won to support flood recovery and residents affected by the disaster in southern areas including Geoje and Tongyeong, Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association said on the 31st. The fundraising began after a fan proposed the campaign upon learning that severe flooding had struck the hometown of member Won-i, who is from Geoje and serves as a promotional ambassador for Geoje. As the campaign spread through fan communities, a total of 2,355 fans joined in and raised more than 100 million won in a short period.

Extending warm comfort and a force for good A REMINE representative who organized the campaign said the group hoped the comfort and happiness fans had gained through RESCENE would reach neighbors struggling after the floods, adding that the donation could help carry that warmth forward. The funds will be used to speed recovery efforts in affected areas and help residents return to their daily lives. Hope Bridge thanked the fans for expanding their support for the singer into a mature culture of giving, saying that one fan’s sincerity moved the hearts of more than 2,300 people and grew into a miraculous donation.

RESCENE continues its meteoric rise Meanwhile, RESCENE is maintaining its hot streak. After content on member Won-i’s personal YouTube channel sparked widespread attention, the group’s signature song “LOVE ATTACK” climbed back up the music charts to No. 1. The group then scored its first music-show No. 1 with its new song “Pretty Girl.”
