Lee Chang-dong's 'Possible Love' Invited to BFI London Film Festival Gala, Proving Global Interest

〈Possible Love〉 is coming to London for audiences.

Invited to the gala section of the 70th BFI London Film Festival The film 〈Possible Love〉 has been officially invited to the 70th BFI London Film Festival. The Netflix film 〈Possible Love〉 is Lee Chang-dong's first new work in nine years since 〈Burning〉. It follows a laid-off working-class couple and a wealthy documentary filmmaker couple who meet while the filmmaker is reporting on them.

Back-to-back invitations from major international festivals 〈Possible Love〉 has been invited to the gala section of the BFI London Film Festival. Lee Chang-dong has now been invited to the festival six times, following 〈Peppermint Candy〉, 〈Oasis〉, 〈Secret Sunshine〉, 〈Poetry〉 and 〈Burning〉, as well as his new film 〈Possible Love〉. Before its BFI London Film Festival invitation, 〈Possible Love〉 had also been selected for the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, the 64th New York Film Festival, the 74th San Sebastian International Film Festival, the 22nd Zurich Film Festival and the 45th Vancouver International Film Festival, establishing it as one of the year's most anticipated films.

Second set of press stills and release schedule unveiled At the same time, 〈Possible Love〉 released a second set of press stills. The images feature Jeon Do-yeon, Sol Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung and Jo Yeo-jeong, whose casting drew attention from the start, as well as Lee Chang-dong carefully considering footage while monitoring the shoot. The film raises questions from the looks exchanged by Mi-ok (Jeon Do-yeon) and Ye-ji (Jo Yeo-jeong) across the camera. 〈Possible Love〉 will open in theaters Sept. 23 before premiering exclusively on Netflix Nov. 6.
