Kim Hye-ja is returning to the big screen in a film that will meet audiences in Busan.

The film 〈Still Radiant〉 was officially selected Sept. 7 for the 31st Busan International Film Festival's “Korean Cinema Today – Panorama” section. The section showcases the latest and representative works of contemporary Korean commercial cinema with broad popular appeal and stature, screening them as premieres and selecting highly anticipated films that draw the attention of audiences each year.

〈Still Radiant〉 tells the story of Sun-ok, who reunites after 60 years with the longtime friend who shared the most radiant moments of her life. The film has drawn attention as the big-screen comeback of “National Mom” Kim Hye-ja. Director Song Il-gon, whose credits include 〈Flower Island〉, 〈Spider Forest〉, 〈Feathers〉 and 〈Only You〉, is unveiling his first new film in more than a decade since 〈Forest of Time〉. The collaboration has heightened curiosity about what kind of emotion the two will create.

The 31st Busan International Film Festival, where 〈Still Radiant〉 will meet audiences, runs from Oct. 6 to Oct. 15. 〈Still Radiant〉 is scheduled for release in October after its festival screening.
