Jinyoung, Cho Yi-hyun lead 'Summer Vacation,' an 18-year-old romance with a twist arriving on the 26th

Fateful encounter between young people in the unfamiliar rural village of Upori

Actors `'Jinyoung'` and `'Cho Yi-hyun'` are set to target viewers' emotions with a fresh youth romance. Online video service (OTT) provider `'Wavve'` officially announced that it will premiere its new original drama `'Summer Vacation'`, starring the two actors as co-leads, on the 26th of next month.

The series follows an ordinary 18-year-old high school girl who spends her summer vacation in the unfamiliar rural village of Upori and becomes entangled with the boy who is the heir to the village's head family.

Jinyoung will undergo a transformation in the role of `'Jo Yu-gyeom'`, the son of Upori's landowner and heir to a prominent family. He is a multifaceted character who possesses striking looks and extraordinary swimming talent but endures a dull daily life under strict rules.

Cho Yi-hyun plays `'Kim Ha-yeon'`, an eccentric and lively high school girl who dreams of a dramatic fate like the heroine in a movie, bringing energy to the series. Viewers are anticipating the delicate emotional arc and fresh chemistry the two young stars will create.

The production team is equally impressive. `'Writer Han Ga-ram'`, who demonstrated her distinctive warm sensibility through ENA's `'Dear Hyeri'` and JTBC's `'When the Weather Is Fine'`, among other works, wrote the script. `'Director Song Ji-won'`, who helmed JTBC's `'Sweet Munchies'`, will direct the series and is expected to maximize its visual appeal.

The series will air simultaneously not only on the Wavve platform but also on the global cable channel `'Lifetime'`, reaching viewers at home and abroad.
