Lee Byung-hun set to join 35th Buil Film Awards handprinting ceremony

The 35th Buil Film Awards will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Grand Ballroom of Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan. Organizers on the 29th announced the lineup for the handprinting ceremony and red carpet, which will take place before the awards ceremony.

Major winners from the 34th Buil Film Awards will gather for the handprinting ceremony, which will open this year’s event. Best Actor winner Lee Byung-hun, Yoo Hyun-mok Film Arts Award winner Jang Dong-gun, Best New Actress winner Lee Hye-ri and Best New Actor winner Choi Hyun-jin will attend the ceremony and leave their handprints, reflecting on the significance of their honors.

Actor Kim Nam-gil and Chun Woo-hee will host the ensuing red carpet photo call and awards ceremony. Actors Kim A-young, Kasamatsu Sho, Roh Jeong-eui and Jo Yi-hyun will present awards. Director Yoon Ga-eun, along with actors Seo Su-bin, Eum Moon-seok, Yeom Hye-ran and Park Ji-hoon and other key figures and performers from the nominated films, will also walk the red carpet in force. Team Haven and Jo Hyun-ah of Urban Zakapa will perform on the celebratory stage.

The 35th Buil Film Awards, which brings together filmmakers who have illuminated South Korea’s film industry over the past year, will be livestreamed exclusively on Naver’s CHZZK from start to finish, including the handprinting ceremony, red carpet, main awards ceremony and open talk with the Star Award recipients.
