Naver's Chzzk to livestream Busan International Film Festival ceremonies, offer 4,000 won in points

BIFF-specific services span online and offline experiences

Naver, an official sponsor of the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which opens on the 6th, is expanding the festival experience both online and on-site. The company is bringing together the capabilities of its core platforms — streaming service Chzzk, short-form video platform Clip, Naver Map and Naver Pay — to build a comprehensive festival infrastructure.

The most prominent initiative is Chzzk's exclusive livestream coverage. The platform will exclusively stream the red-carpet event and opening ceremony on the festival's opening day, the 6th, as well as major outdoor events including the outdoor stage greetings and open talks. It will also provide live coverage of the closing ceremony scheduled for the 15th. Content featuring well-known streamers watching together is designed to make the online viewing experience even more immersive. The red carpet and awards ceremony for the Buil Film Awards, taking place at Signiel Busan on the 7th, will also be available exclusively on Chzzk.

Naver Clip will capture the energy on the ground. Numerous creators are scheduled to visit Busan in person and produce trendy short-form videos highlighting the festival atmosphere, in-depth reviews of films in the lineup and major attractions around the city.

The festival has also prepared practical conveniences and benefits for on-site visitors. Naver Map will feature 49 local Busan restaurants selected by actual festival staff in a BIFF Staff-Recommended Restaurants tab. In a major promotion, users who make a reservation at one of the restaurants, visit it and leave a review will receive up to 4,000 won in Naver Pay points.
