Kim Yoo-jung, Lee Dong-hwi Make Surprise Special Appearances in 〈Buhwalnam: The Red〉

Actors Kim Yoo-jung and Lee Dong-hwi make surprise special appearances in 〈Buhwalnam: The Red〉, directed by Baek. On the 13th, distributor Lotte Entertainment and production company Yong Film unveiled the actors' surprise turns in the film.

〈Buhwalnam: The Red〉 is an action-entertainment film that follows Seok-hwan (Gu Gyo-hwan), a job seeker whose only credential is baseless confidence, who discovers after his death that he can resurrect within 72 hours and then finds himself chased under mysterious circumstances. Yong Film produced the film, with Superfiction, YLab and Studio Nung-gil serving as co-producers.

Kim Yoo-jung appears as "Blue," a character with a unique ability who appears alongside Seok-hwan—who becomes stronger each time he dies—and Black (Shin Seung-ho). Blue is kept in an incubator because she lacks the strength to protect herself, and Kim Yoo-jung immediately commands the audience's attention with a distinctive presence.

Lee Dong-hwi plays a gym trainee at Hanlim Gym, run by Seok-hwan's close friend Yeong-ha (Kang Ki-young), and provides much of the film's comic relief. With his trademark lived-in acting style—responding nonchalantly as Yeong-ha recounts his exploits at the Catholic church—he delivers natural humor.

Featuring Gu Gyo-hwan, Shin Seung-ho, Kang Ki-young, Kim Si-a and Kim Seong-ryeong, and enriched by the special appearances of Kim Yoo-jung and Lee Dong-hwi, 〈Buhwalnam: The Red〉 is now playing in theaters nationwide.
