Rosé emerges as a global icon at the intersection of art and film
Rosé, a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, will take the stage at the 2026 Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles on the 7th of next month, drawing the attention of figures from the global art world.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, or LACMA, announced through its official channels that Rosé had been invited as the official performance guest for this year’s event. The gala is a prestigious global arts festival co-hosted by museum trustee Eva Chow and leading Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
Eva Chow, who oversees the event, expressed high expectations, saying, “As a global pop star, Rosé will further illuminate the gala’s profound purpose with her distinctive, unparalleled talent and sophisticated style.”
Hosted annually by LACMA, the Art+Film Gala is regarded as a key platform for honoring artists who have demonstrated groundbreaking creativity in contemporary art and moving-image art, while fostering close exchanges between the global art and creative communities.
This year’s gala will honor visual artist Vija Celmins, known for her meticulous depictions, and director Denis Villeneuve, who has made his mark on film history by directing the blockbuster sci-fi Dune series.
All proceeds raised through the event will be invested in expanding film-related exhibitions and screening programs. The funds will also support the museum’s ambitious exhibition planning, acquisition of new works and educational initiatives for future generations.
