A record 69 consecutive weeks on the UK Official Charts: a new chapter in animated-film soundtrack history
“KPop Demon Hunters,” Netflix’s animated film, is making history with the enduring success of its original soundtrack (OST) in the global music market. The soundtrack’s track “Golden” continues its long run on the charts.
According to the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, released on the 16th (local time), “Golden” held at No. 62, unchanged from the previous week, marking an impressive 69 consecutive weeks on the chart. The milestone comes amid the film’s worldwide box-office success. The song previously spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the chart and also reached the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, demonstrating its formidable impact.

Global girl group KATSEYE keeps up its steady two-song chart run
KATSEYE, the global girl group launched through a joint venture between HYBE and Geffen Records, is also making a strong showing. The group’s signature song “HOOTIE FRUTTI” ranked No. 84 on this week’s UK Official Singles Chart, extending its chart run to nine consecutive weeks.
Another popular track, “Animal,” landed at No. 86, marking its 12th consecutive week on the chart and underscoring the group’s solid global fan support. KATSEYE’s continued strong performance—combining K-pop’s polished production with Anglo-American pop sensibilities—is seen as a key indicator of the potential for K-pop-inspired groups to succeed in the global music market.
