HANRORO to Make Arena Debut With Jan. 2 Concert ‘Question Mark’

A remarkable rise for a singer-songwriter who connects with the world by asking questions

Singer-songwriter HANRORO, who has won over audiences with her singular sensibility and explosive band sound, will take the stage at an arena for the first time since her debut.

Her agency, Authentic, officially announced on the 25th that HANRORO will hold her fifth solo concert, Question Mark, over two days, Jan. 2 and 3 next year at INSPIRE Arena on Yeongjong Island in Incheon. The concert is expected to mark an important milestone, demonstrating that she has established herself beyond the indie scene as an artist representing South Korean popular music.

Her rapid growth is considered unusual in South Korea’s live music scene. After holding her first solo concert at a small live venue in September 2023 to mark the release of her first EP, she expanded the scale of each subsequent show—from Nodeul Island Live House to YES24 Live Hall and Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium—while selling out every time. She has now made it to INSPIRE Arena, a multipurpose indoor venue known for its immense scale, proving her formidable ticket-selling power.

“HANRORO has steadily scaled up her shows in step with the explosive growth of her audience. Her move into an arena will signal a new leap forward as a musician,” Authentic said, expressing high expectations.

The title of the concert, Question Mark, grew out of the many questions and inner struggles the artist has carried as she looks at the world. She plans to bring to the stage a sincere message about wanting to gently embrace everything from the difficult-to-understand aspects of the world to the uneasy moments of youth.

The agency added, “The show promises immersive direction that will let audiences breathe alongside her and search for answers in their own lives.” As HANRORO earns acclaim from critics and the public alike as a leading figure in the next generation of the band boom, music fans are eager to see what kind of live performance she will deliver to captivate the audience.
