A new musical turning point after a long hiatus

The band Hyukoh, beloved for its singular sound and distinctive visual language, is releasing its third full-length album after an extended break. Its label, DooRooDooRoo Artist Company, officially announced that Hyukoh will release its third studio album, ‘33,’ on the 25th.

The new album is the band’s first full-length release in about six years, following its 2020 album ‘through love.’ It is said to bring together years of sonic experimentation and the band’s inner transformation.

The album is also drawing attention from the global art world for its visual artistry. The artwork for ‘33’ was created by artist Minjeong An, who last year became the youngest Korean artist to have work acquired for the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, amplifying the album’s symbolism.

Ahead of the full album’s release, Hyukoh has been gradually unveiling tracks since August, including ‘Godspeed!’, ‘KoK’ and ‘Jineun Nal’, offering a glimpse of the album’s overall sound. Music fans are eagerly anticipating the breadth of sound the band, known for forging its own path, will deliver with ‘33.’
