Kang Ha-neul Selected as Ambassador for the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival

The 21st Jecheon International Music & Film Festival (JIMFF) Secretariat announced on the 30th that actor Kang Ha-neul has been selected as this year's official ambassador, 'JIMFFACE'.

Kang Ha-neul, who has been active across screens, dramas, theater, and musical stages, is expected to participate in various promotional activities for JIMFF. In particular, he is reported to attend the official press conference scheduled for August and major events during the film festival in September.

Kang Ha-neul won the Best New Actor award at the 21st Chun-Sa Film Awards and the 35th Golden Camera Awards for his role in the film <Dongju> (2016). He also received recognition for his acting in the drama <When the Camellia Blooms> (2019), winning the Best Actor award in the TV category at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Jang Hang-jun, the executive chairman, expressed his expectations, stating, "Actor Kang Ha-neul has a wide acting spectrum and a positive influence across genres such as comedy, action, and melodrama, attracting a fan base across generations. I believe he will bring vitality to the festival as an ideal ambassador for JIMFF."

In response, Kang Ha-neul said, "I am truly honored to be able to serve as the ambassador for JIMFF, where film and music come together."

This year's Jecheon International Music & Film Festival will be held for six days from September 4 to 9 at locations including Mosan Airfield. Notably, this festival will temporarily utilize the old Megabox Jecheon building as the main screening venue.
