Byeon Wooseok X Netflix, to be Produced

Netflix has announced a new live-action project <Solo Leveling>.

<Solo Leveling> is a live-action adaptation of the web novel of the same name written by Chugong. The original story depicts the journey of E-rank hunter Sung Jin-woo, who is known as the weakest among hunters protecting the real world from monsters beyond the gate, as he transforms into the strongest hunter to save the world in the face of death. The web novel has expanded its IP into webtoons and animations, and this live-action adaptation by Netflix is set to meet global fans once again.

In particular, this live-action drama has garnered more attention as it features Byeon Wooseok, the star of 'Lovely Runner Syndrome'. Byeon Wooseok, who has risen as an icon of K-drama and an Asian star playing the role of Ryu Seon-jae in <Run with the Wind>, will take on the role of the protagonist Sung Jin-woo in this drama. Directors Lee Hae-joon and Kim Byung-seo, who collaborated on <Ashfall>, will co-direct and lead the world of <Solo Leveling>.

The drama will be produced by Kakao Entertainment and Sanai Pictures. As the production announcement has just been made, the release date is currently undecided.
