New Work After 9 Years... Um Tae-woong Stars in 'The Last Assignment' Releasing in September

Actor Um Tae-woong's return to the screen, 〈The Last Assignment〉, has announced its release in September.

〈The Last Assignment〉 is a project that began production in 2021, drawing attention as it marked actor Um Tae-woong's return to the screen. Um Tae-woong was selected as the lead for 〈The Last Assignment〉 during a long period of reflection after receiving a fine for prostitution. Now, as of September 2025, he is ready to meet the audience.

〈The Last Assignment〉 tells the story of a teacher who becomes a temporary homeroom teacher and the children who complete their last assignment in their own unique ways. Directed by Lee Jung-cheol, who also directed 〈Heart 2〉, the film features not only Um Tae-woong but also Yoon Hyun-sook, Jeon Soo-kyung, Park Sang-myeon, with Lee Sung-jong making a special appearance.

〈The Last Assignment〉 will be released on September 3.
