
Go Hyun-jung and Jang Dong-yoon star in the new SBS drama 〈Mantis: The Killer's Outing〉, which will premiere on September 5. 〈Mantis: The Killer's Outing〉 is a crime thriller that depicts the story of a police officer's son, who has hated his mother for a lifetime, collaborating with her to catch the perpetrator of a crime that mimics the actions of a female serial killer nicknamed 'Mantis', who brutally murdered five men 20 years ago. It is based on a French drama of the same name. 〈Mantis: The Killer's Outing〉 has been pre-produced as an 8-part series since around October last year and is set to air every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM on SBS starting September 5.

The two main characters are played by Go Hyun-jung as Jeong Yi-shin and Jang Dong-yoon as Cha Soo-yeol. Go Hyun-jung appears as a serial killer who brutally murdered five men 20 years ago. Jang Dong-yoon plays the son of the Mantis and a police officer who jumps in to solve the Mantis imitation murder case. Jang Dong-yoon's unique transformation, showcasing impressive performances in every work, is drawing attention. There are more intriguing elements. 〈Mantis: The Killer's Outing〉 is the new work of director Byun Young-joo, who successfully presented the movie 〈Whisper〉 and 〈Secret Love〉, and it is also a work by writer Lee Young-jong, who has been responsible for numerous hits including the ten million movie 〈The Spring of Seoul〉.
