Director Kim Dae-hwan, who participated in the script polishing of 'Parasite', announces the release of 'It Can't Be Helped' in September

〈Parasite〉 director Kim Dae-hwan's new film 〈It Can't Be Helped〉 has been invited to major domestic film festivals such as the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival and the 13th Muju Film Festival, generating buzz, and it has been confirmed for release in September. 〈It Can't Be Helped〉 has captured attention with a powerful ensemble performance from the most notable actors at this time, including Jang Young-nam, Ryu Kyung-soo, Stephanie Lee, Ok Ji-young, Park Ji-il, and Park Ji-a. Additionally, with the confirmation of the September release, a teaser poster created in collaboration with artist Lim Gi-hwan, who has gained international fame for his illustrations, was unveiled.

〈It Can't Be Helped〉 tells the story of a teacher, Jung Ha (Jang Young-nam), who harbors an unspeakable secret, and her son Jin-woo (Ryu Kyung-soo), who returns from studying abroad in Canada with his girlfriend Jenny (Stephanie Lee) without notice, leading to the two families of Jin-woo and Jenny coming together under one roof. Director Kim Dae-hwan, who gained attention for his award-winning films 〈Cheorwon Journey〉 (2014) and 〈First Time〉 (2017) and participated in the script polishing of Bong Joon-ho's 〈Parasite〉 (2019), is in charge of the screenplay and direction.
